Ron joined UnitingCare Australia in August 2025 in the newly created role of Policy Advisor – Church Engagement. This role, jointly funded with the Uniting Church of Australia, has been established to advance the strategic priorities of the Church and UnitingCare through policy and advocacy work. Ron’s work is focused on strengthening connections across the Church and service networks – supporting coordinated efforts in social justice, reconciliation, and care for creation.

For Ron, this is his “dream job” after a successful career as an industrial relations advocate and educator, and most recently, working policy and government relations roles in the social services sector.

Ron holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree from the University of Wollongong and a Graduate Certificate in Political Economy from the University of Sydney.
