Kirsten Turner
Senior Policy & Advocacy Adviser
Kirsten has a passion for evidence-based strategic policy, with a particular focus on issues of inequity affecting First People’s and older people. Kirsten is on secondment from the Department of Health and Aged Care, seeking to gain industry insight and experience; and affect grassroots change.
Kirsten has worked across government for nearly 16 years in evaluation, policy and program management in First People’s public health and language; and aged care volunteering, dementia and independent advocacy. Throughout her life Kirsten has been a committed volunteer and volunteer Board Member in community, environment and refugee groups.
Kirsten has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Public Health and Indigenous Health, including a scholarship in Dementia care.
