UnitingCare Australia is calling for next week’s Federal Budget to deliver a fairer tax system and increase investment in people and services needed to grow productivity and build a decent future for all.

“Enabling every person, regardless of age, ability, or employment status to make a full contribution to society is the key to our national prosperity,” National Director Lin Hatfield Dodds said.

UnitingCare Australia has welcomed the ALP’s leadership on the issue of inequality with the release this week of the report Growing Together - Labor’s agenda for tackling inequality.

This year Australians are being asked to simply give a dollar. At every checkout of every Target store are $1 gift tag baubles. Our goal this year is to raise $1 million to provide simple humanity to Australian families in real need.
